Howlin' is delighted to announce a special exhibition at their temporary Seoul store with 29CM Seong-Su.
 In December this exhibition will move to Antwerp. The exhibition will feature a selection of paintings specially created by Bent Van Looy which are based on several Howlin' style names. Following knitwear styles are brought to life: Psycho Killer, Double Fantasy, Holy Dance, Mr Nervous and The Blue Magician. Moreover, we invite you to embark on a magical narrative journey with 'To Holy Dance and Back Again,' a unique short story/novel that complements the exhibition's paintings and its distinctive world. This narrative weaves its own story onto the canvas, enriching your experience during your visit to the exhibition.

Please Join the Howlin’ team on the 12/10/23 in Seoul to celebrate the opening of the exhibition, and if you are free in the evening, the brothers & founders of Howlin’ will be spinning some records at Kompakt Records Seongsu! Opening of the Antwerp exhibition will be on Thursday 07/12/2023.

ON BENT VAN LOOY

Born in 1976 in Antwerp Belgium, Bent studied painting at the St.Lucas in Ghent. He became well-known as a musician playing in bands such as Soulwax and Das Pop. Bent has exhibited in institutions such as S.M.A.K. Ghent, BOZAR Brussels and galleries Sofie Van De Velde and +1 in Antwerp and Super Dakota, Brussels. Throughout the artist practice, Van Looy thoughtfully deploys hindsight, left in our time, to evoke a Disneyfied ersatz version of Romanticism. The beauty of his paintings resides in his ability to balance the weight of their fundamentals and the fragility of his subjects.
