We are thrilled to announce a special collaboration between Howlin’ and Engineered Garments. Titled The Howlin’ Needle and the Damage Done, this collection marks our first collaboration with Daiki Suzuki and his team, renowned for their distinctive approach to American workwear and military-inspired clothing, reimagined through a contemporary and functional lens.
For this collaboration, Engineered Garments’ signature silhouettes meet Howlin’s unmistakable cosmic twist. The result is a carefully balanced fusion of character, craftsmanship and experimentation. Custom-designed woolen jacquards were developed exclusively in Scotland for this project and combined with water repellent nylon, creating a collection that feels both expressive and functional. Every piece is made with care in Howlin’s Belgium atelier, reflecting our shared commitment to quality and detail.
About Engineered Garments
Engineered Garments was founded by Daiki Suzuki in New York in 1999, after taking inspiration from his years buying for the Nepenthes stores in their early stages, and combining it with his own vision. As a brand, they aim is to make garments that become more personal through the experiences you have with them. They value unique garment construction with attention to detail, with meaning and hidden qualities behind each design. They venture into conflicting themes, straying from “perfect design”. They are not designed but engineered.
